Vancouver, BC – June 16, 2025 – Innovation Mining is proud to announce its selection as one of 20 recipients in the 2025 Mining Innovation Commercialization Accelerator (MICA) Program. This prestigious program is a flagship initiative of the Government of Canada, designed to drive the development and commercialization of cutting-edge mining technologies across the country.

Under this new strategic partnership, MICA will provide non-dilutive funding and commercialization support to help advance RZOLV™, Innovation Mining’s cyanide-free leaching technology. RZOLV™ offers a safer, cleaner alternative to traditional gold extraction methods, enabling on-site recovery of precious metals while minimizing environmental risks and regulatory hurdles.

“MICA’s backing is more than a financial boost—it is an endorsement of our mission to deliver a cleaner, simpler path to gold production,” said Hanif Jafari, Chief Technology Officer at Innovation Mining. “Working with Canada’s flagship mining innovation network gives us the momentum and network access we need to move from proven lab results to full commercial deployment.”

The announcement, made during the CFP #4 Funding Announcement in Toronto, reaffirms MICA’s commitment to positioning Canada as a global leader in mining innovation. Selected projects will contribute to advancements in key priority areas including:

•        Smart and autonomous systems

•        Tailings and water management

•        Energy efficiency and decarbonization

•        Responsible mineral extraction and ESG performance

This funding comes through Canada’s Strategic Innovation Fund, helping to bridge the gap between R&D and real-world application. MICA’s support empowers small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to scale innovations like RZOLV™ both domestically and internationally.

“This announcement underscores CEMI’s long-standing commitment to accelerating innovation in Canada’s mining sector,” said Chamirai Charles Nyabeze, MICA’s Network Director. “By building and supporting the MICA Network, we’ve created a national platform that empowers SMEs to scale their technologies and bring them to market. These companies are critical to the future of mining and to Canada’s ability to lead in the low-carbon economy.”
